Don’t Forget about Your Elderly Pet
Keep in mind that as your pet enters its senior years, health issues that may be perceived as normal aging or not fixable,may indeed be treatable. Fortunately, if we catch certain conditions early, we can improve the quality of life for our pets, and in many cases actually extend their life.
Penn-Ohio Veterinary Services thoroughly believes in doing as much for your pet as possible no matter what the age is! Please don’t overlook symptoms thinking they are normal for your animal’s age. Remember, detection is the key in treating diseases. If your pet exhibits any of the following symptoms, please call us right away:
- Excessive thirst or urination
- Panting regularly
- Chronic loose stool
- Not eating
- Lethargy and having problems moving
These are only a few to name, but if your pet is showing any of the above, your pet could have an underlying problem that may be fixable with proper treatment.
